My name is Brett Jurey and I am a 4th grade teacher at Cambridge Public Schools. I was born in Norton, KS and grew up in Wilsonville, NE. I graduated from Twin Valley High School in Bartley, NE in 1999 and then attended college at the University of Nebraska - Kearney.
After receiving my bachelor's degree in elementary education and K-6 physical education I began my teaching career at 1-R School in Grand Island, NE. During my 7 years there, I taught 3rd grade and 4th grade and also coached Jr. High Girls and Boys Basketball and Jr. High track at Grand Island Northwest. I also had the opportunity to complete my master's degree from Doane College during my time in Grand Island.
My wife, Lindsey, and I decided we wanted to move back to where we grew up, so now we call Cambridge our home. My parents still live in Wilsonville, and my wife's parents live northwest of Cambridge. We have a daughter, Karinne, and son Carson, who both attend Cambridge Public Schools.
My favorite sports teams are the Nebraska Cornhuskers and North Carolina Tar Heels. I enjoy spending time with my family, playing golf, and watching movies. Some of my favorite foods are cheeseburgers, pizza, tacos, and red velvet cupcakes, and the best beverage of all time would have to be...Coca Cola!
